National Park Tourism Busines Event (10:00 - 13:00)

When and where:

Thursday 16 February, 10am to 1pm, Carrochan, National Park HQ, Balloch G83 8EG

Join VisitScotland and National Park partners at a free event where we will explore the major developments in the tourism industry that should make 2012 a landmark year for businesses in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, West Dunbartonshire and across Scotland.

This year has enormous potential. We have the right product in the Year of Creative Scotland 2012, the marketing power of Disney/Pixar behind their new Brave movie, and we have the opportunity that comes with the Olympics at the height of the summer.

Mairi Bell, Tourism Manager at Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, will give an update on work to develop tourism in the Park. We will discuss the changes to the Scottish Thistle Awards - now open for entries - and how they will make the awards work better for you.

Plus, VisitScotland’s Digital & Media team will unveil exciting changes to VisitScotland.com that will help both visitors and businesses get more out of the website — with plenty of time for your questions.
