Resources

The National Park Authority produce a variety of publications that offer information on a range of topics related to the National Park.
 
Our magazine A' phàirc and the State of the Park Report 2005 are fantastic resources and provide a wealth of information on the National Park's geology, ecology, geography, communities, environmental issues and conservation activity. Our Research documents examine particular issues in more detail within these areas.

UK Biodiversity Action Plan
The United Kingdom Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) is the governmental response to the Convention on Biological Diversity. It describes the UK's biological resources and commits a detailed plan for the protection of these resources.

Centre for Ecology and Hydrology

The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) is the UK's Centre of Excellence for research in the land and freshwater environmental sciences.

Young People’s Trust for the Environment

The Young People's Trust for the Environment is a charity which aims to encourage young people's understanding of the environment and the need for sustainability.
 

Work Placements

During 2011 we are unable to provide any placement or work experience opportunities. This is due to limited staff capacity, especially in the summer months. However, this will be reviewed in the autumn and any updates will be given here. 
 

Volunteering

Why not become a volunteer for the National Park? It's a fantastic way to gain practical experience in many of the different jobs in the Park and improve your knowledge and skills.
