The National Park Ranger Service is split into three area teams: Cowal & Breadalbane, Loch Lomond East & The Trossachs and Loch Lomond Water & West. Their role is to encourage and help all sectors of the community and visitors to the area, to enjoy and care for their environment.

 

Rangers offer a wide variety of skills and experience that they enjoy sharing with other people. They are involved in many fields such as natural heritage conservation, recreation and access and education and interpretation.

 

The Ranger Service conducts both formal and informal education activities, covering a variety of topics including the National Park and natural and cultural heritage. They also run John Muir Award groups and support school ground work and Eco-Schools projects. School work includes both visiting schools in the Park, and organising visits by school children to the Park for an outdoor learning experience.
