Community Futures Grant Scheme

The National Park Community Futures Programme has supported local communities to identify priorities for action through their Community Action Plans, and to establish Community Development Trusts.
 
The National Park offered Community Futures Grants in 2010/11 to assist Community Development Trusts and other community organisations to deliver their Action Plans. There are two types of grants available:
  • Admin – for developing the strength and capacity of Community Organisations
  • Project - for ‘Soon Seen Successful’ projects that deliver National Park Objectives 
Grants Awarded 2010/11

21 communities applied for the grant scheme and the following awards were made:
  • Strathard Community Development Trust (joint application with Strathard Community Council): £800 admin, £1,165 project 'Heritage Routes Leaflet'
  • Arrochar & Tarbet Community Development Trust (joint application with Arrochar & Tarbet Community Council): £800 admin, £1,500 project 'Arrochar Play Area Refurbishment'
  • Kilmaronock Community Development Trust: £712.50 admin, £300 project ‘Promotional Banners’
  • Callander Community Development Trust: £800 admin, £1,000 project ‘Riverside Walkway Benches’
  • Sandbank Community Development Trust: £800 admin
  • Killin & Ardeonaig Trust: £548.00 admin
  • Lochgoilhead Community Development Trust (joint application with Community Council): £800 admin, £1,500 project ‘Village Enhancements: benches, planters and paths’
  • Gartmore Community Development Trust: £800 admin, £500 project ‘Outline Design for Village Hall Renovation’
  • Balloch Community Interest Company: £300 admin 
  • Benmore & Kilmun Community Development Trust: £800, £1,500 project ‘Leaflets and Waymarking for new Blairmore to Gairletter Path Link’
  • Strathfillan Community Development Trust (joint application with Community Council): £1,050 project ‘Tyndrum and Inverardran Tubs and boxes'
  • Strachur & District Community Development Company: £800 admin 
  • Croftamie Community Development Trust: £800 admin, £1,500 project ‘Weekly Community Minibus Service for Villagers’
  • Luss & Arden Community Development Trust: £762 admin, £600 project ‘ Wooden Benches at the Playpark’
  • Drymen Community Development Trust (joint application with Community Council and Heritage Society): £800 admin, £550 project ‘Drymen Square Improvements’
