David McCowan
David McCowan was born in Arden and has always lived there with the exception of being away for education and work assignments. He is Director of James Cargill Ltd, a financial services company based in the National Park which also has interest in self catering property.David is a member of Helensburgh Tennis and Golf clubs and also has an interest in waterskiing on Loch Lomond weather permitting.
As a member of the Dumbarton Chamber of Commerce he is minded that the sustainability of profitable businesses working within the Park and surrounding areas is key to achieving a successful and sustainable future for all who wish to live and work within the National Park.
David was elected to Ward 5 on 1 July 2010 for a four year period until June 2014.
