David Warnock
David Warnock has lived in Callander since 1986 and operates a small consultancy, working mainly in rural development, recreation and outdoor access and cultural and natural interpretation. He previously worked as Development Officer on the award winning Trossachs Trail Tourism Management Programme and as Senior Countryside Ranger with Stirling District Council. He has a degree in Business Studies with Environmental Education. He has been involved in numerous conservation schemes including ‘Operation Osprey’ at Loch Garten and has over 20 years mountain rescue experience.He was appointed as locally elected Member for Ward 3 covering the Callander area on 01 July 2010. His term of office runs for four years until June 2014.

Consultancy Work
Self employed, sole trading consultant, trading under my own name from Buchany, Ancaster Road, Callander.
I have previously undertaken work either as contractor or sub-contractor to other consultants, for agencies and organisations with a direct interest of ownership, management or promotion of the Park area (see category 3 for details).
Writing and Lecturing
I am an occasional ‘guest lecturer’ on tourism, environmental and economic topics at various universities which usually involves a fee and/or expenses. I produce the occasional article on countryside, landscape, wildlife and travel topics for which I usually receive a fee. I also sell and have published the occasional photograph in travel, photography, outdoor magazines. Some of these have in the past been related to the Park area.
I currently have no active contracts in the Park area. I am currently working on several contracts for the Cairngorms National Park Authority.
