Freedom of Information

Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, the National Park Authority is required to release information concerning its operations into the public domain. While the National Park Authority is committed to the principles of openness and transparency and already makes a large amount of information available to the public, the Act will help to make our services even more open and accessible.

We have adopted the Scottish Information Commissioner’s Model Publication Scheme. This in turn obliges the National Park Authority to produce a Guide to Information to make it easier for the public to find and access information published by the Authority. It outlines the classes of information we make available routinely, where you can access the information and whether any fees are payable.
