National Park Board Elections Update

Nominations for election to Loch Lomond
& The Trossachs National Park Board closed on 26 May. Existing
members Owen McKee from Breadalbane and Trossachs and Willie Nisbet from
East Loch Lomond and Port of Menteith were unopposed. New member David
McKenzie from Blairmore will represent Cowal and Loch Lomond.
Stirling Council will hold a postal vote
to determine the members for the remaining wards, Callander and West Loch
Lomond and Balloch. Ballot papers will be posted on June 10. The deadline for
returning papers is 4pm on 1 July. Votes will be counted at National Park
headquarters on the evening of 1 July with Stirling Council Chief Executive Bob
Jack as Returning Officer. The new board members will take up their posts
immediately following the count.
