Willie Nisbet
Willie Nisbet has farmed on the banks of Loch Lomond for the last 30 years, taking over the family farm, and has worked to bring together the competing demands of farming, the environment and public access. Willie has been Treasurer of the Kilmaronock Community Council for six years and is Chair of the Central Scotland branch of FWAG (the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group). He is also a member of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Local Access Forum, Treasurer of the Kilmaronock Community Futures Steering Group and Chairman of the Community Paths group.
As a farmer, a practical conservationist and a lifetime resident of Ward 4, Willie is a passionate supporter of an evolving rural community which provides a sustainable future for the people who live and work in the area and an environment we can all enjoy.
Willie was re-elected to Ward 4 on 1 July 2010 for a four year term until June 2014.
