We are preparing a new Local Plan for the whole of the National Park that will set out detailed policies and site-specific proposals for development. It will be used to guide day-to-day planning decisions and will have a life span of five years when adopted.

 

These web pages provide information on progress towards preparing the Local Plan and will be updated regularly. Please select from the headings on the side menu for further detail and to view relevant documents.

14/12/09	The Finalised Draft Local Plan was approved for consultation by the National Park Board. To view the reports as presented to the Board click here.
19/02/10	Consultation on the Finalised Draft Local Plan commenced. To view the consultation documents and background reports click here.
6/04/10	The consultation closed. It ran from Friday 19 February to Tuesday 6 April 2010.
16/06/10	A report on the consultation was prepared for the National Park Authority’s Board meeting on 23 June. This provides a summary of the areas of more significant challenge and the officer’s recommended response.   The report can be accessed here and includes a report detailing all responses to the consultation received.     All papers can also be viewed at National Park HQ, Balloch, our Callander office or at Argyll & Bute, Stirling, Perth & Kinross and West Dunbartonshire Councils' main offices.
