How to Get Here
You can visit the island all year round weather permitting. If
you don’t have your own boat, you can hire one from Balmaha Boat Yard – or be ferried there and back.
From
Balmaha car park it takes only a few minutes to walk to the boatyard, owned and
managed by the Macfarlane family. Your island adventure now begins with a short boat journey.
The ferry will drop you off at the pier on the east side of the island, known as the North Jetty.
Arrangements can be
made with Balmaha Boat Yard for larger groups of 12 or more. Be sure to make your travel arrangements well
in advance.
For timetables, fares and boat hire call 01360 870214, or visit www.balmahaboatyard.co.uk
You can also get to the
island from the west shore of the loch with Cruise Loch Lomond who operate a daily scheduled service from the village of Luss on their ‘Wee Gem’ cruise.
This runs from April to 2 October departing from Luss Pier
at 10am, 11.30am and 1.15pm. For more information tel
