National Parks Passport
It is over 60 years since the National Parks and Access to
the Countryside Act was established in 1949. It established how the countryside could be protected and enjoyed by future generations.
This Act paved the way for the creation of today's family of 14 UK
National Parks, 49 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), 294
National Nature Reserves and 2,900 miles of National Trails.
We would like you to join the National Park celebrations, by visiting some different National Parks and telling us what you did!
Each time you visit a National Park, make sure you get your special passport stamped. If you tell us your travel stories, you could be
featured on the National Parks website. You'll find all the information to get you started, details of
where to get your passport stamped and how to tell us about your
travels on the National Parks website.
